Planting a Sustainable Future: We Planted 389 Trees in Our Mexico Plants in 2026

At Mexifrutas, we are convinced that actions speak louder than words when it comes to caring for the planet. As part of our Socially Responsible Company (ESR) strategy and our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we carried out a massive reforestation event at our Acaponeta, Tepic, and Chiapas facilities.

Thanks to the active participation and joint effort of our team, we successfully planted 389 trees divided among native and adapted species, including royal poincianas (tabachines), neem trees, and mango trees.

The Impact of Our Event in Numbers

Each plant joined forces to transform our green spaces and reduce our operational carbon footprint:

Acaponeta: 150 total trees

• 100 Royal Poincianas (Tabachines)
• 50 Neems

Chiapas: 185 total trees

• 150 Neems
• 35 Mangos trees

Tepic: 54 total trees

• 54 Neems

Why these species?

The selection of trees was not random; each species provides concrete environmental and community benefits:

• Royal Poincianas (Tabachines): They offer unique visual beauty with striking red and orange flowers, while providing wide shade that helps regulate open space temperatures.
• Neem Trees: Known as natural purifiers, these trees stand out for their high air filtration capacity, heat resistance, and natural pest-repellent properties.
• Mango Trees: In addition to contributing to local biodiversity and CO₂ sequestration, they offer agricultural value and lush shade.
