At Mexifrutas, we reaffirm our commitment to the environment and energy efficiency by implementing an innovative renewable energy project at our facility in Arriaga, Chiapas. This initiative reflects our vision to integrate sustainable practices that benefit both the company and the surrounding community.

The project involves the installation of 1,060 solar panels on the rooftops of our facilities, covering an area of 2,862 square meters. With a generation capacity of 620.10 kilowatts (kW), this infrastructure will allow us to maximize the use of solar energy, a renewable and sustainable source.

Key Benefits

• Green energy generation: With the help of these panels, 52% of the energy consumed at our Arriaga plant will be replaced with green energy. Together with the photovoltaic system already installed at our Tepic plant, 28% of the total energy consumption across our three plants will be generated by green energy thanks to these investments.
• Reduced carbon footprint: By utilizing clean energy, we contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It is estimated that this project will prevent annual CO2 emissions equivalent to planting approximately 18,000 trees.
• Efficient use of space: By installing the panels on rooftops, we optimize existing infrastructure without disrupting other plant operations.

With this initiative, two of our three plants in Mexico are now equipped with solar energy systems. In 2024, we installed solar panels at our Tepic, Nayarit plant, achieving outstanding results in both energy savings and environmental impact reduction. These successful experiences motivate us to continue expanding our clean energy network.
